Welcome to Efrat and David’s summer celebration website!

Hello, friends and family! Thank you for visiting our summer celebration page.

We were married in at the Hennepin County Government Center on . Since Minnesota summers are at least slightly more pleasant than our winters, we’re hosting a celebration dinner and reception on . We hope to have you join us!

DETAILS

Location: We’ll start the evening with a private dinner at Spoon and Stable.
Address: 211 North First Street • Minneapolis, Minnesota • 55401 | 612.224.9850
Time: 5:00pm
Getting to the restaurant:
By car: Spoon and Stable is located in Minneapolis’s Warehouse District. This is an urban area and street parking is limited. As such, we have pre-paid for valet parking for those who will be driving. Just drop your car off at the front of the restaurant and they will do the rest.
By bus: The 6, 7, 14, and 673 bus lines drop off close to the restaurant
Minneapolis has Uber/Lyft available

Following dinner, we will host a reception at our home in Southeast Minneapolis. This will likely start some time around 8:00pm. Our home is easily accessible from the restaurant via bus, Uber/Lyft, or car.

Please RSVP by emailing or texting either of us.

FAQs

  1. Is this a wedding? What should I expect? This isn’t a traditional wedding, as we’re not planning a ceremony or any formal wedding events. Our plan for the evening is to eat good food, hang out with our closest friends and family, and dance to some 90’s throwback songs. Maybe David will bust out some salsa moves – we’ll see. 🙂
  2. Can the restaurant accommodate me if I have food restrictions? Quite likely, yes. At minimum they told us they would happily accommodate anyone who follows a vegetarian or vegan diet. Please let either of us (David or Efrat) know if you have dietary restrictions – we’ll pass it along to the restaurant.
  3. What’s the dress code? Spoon and Stable is an upscale restaurant, so we recommend not wearing jeans, but there’s no need to wear anything super formal (i.e., no need for a suit or cocktail dress).
  4. Are kids welcome? Yes. You are absolutely welcome to bring kids (we invited several folks with children) at your own discretion. However, please understand that given the nature of our event, we won’t be able to offer a lot of entertainment options for young children.
  5. How do I get to Minneapolis? For most people, flying in via MSP airport is the best option. MSP is a Delta hub and is served by several airline carriers (e.g., American, Southwest, United, and Sun Country). If you live in California, check out Sun Country for direct flights to MSP.
  6. How do I get from the airport to my hotel? From MSP, you can take the Light Rail to Minneapolis. The Light Rail operates every 10 minutes during peak hours, and typically every 10 to 15 minutes at other times of the day. From the airport, Light Rail trains can take you to the Warehouse District in downtown Minneapolis (where Spoon and Stable is) in about 25 minutes. An Uber/Lyft from MSP to downtown Minneapolis costs about $25.
  7. Where should I stay? Both of our events will occur in Minneapolis. If you’d like to stay closer to the restaurant/downtown Minneapolis, here are a few places to consider: If you’d like to stay closer to the airport, here are some choices:
  8. What will the reception entail? We’ll be serving drinks and light snacks, and there will be music, dancing (optional!), lawn/board games, and a photo booth.
  9. Will Minneapolis be cold in July? No, it’s usually super nice then! Minnesota has beautiful, warm summers, and it stays sunny until pretty late in the evening.
  10. What else is there to do in the Twin Cities? We have a ton of beautiful nature opportunities in the summer, among other options. A few recommendations include:
  11. Are you registered anywhere? No. We are fortunate in that we do not need any wedding presents. Thank you for thinking of us! If you’re feeling inspired to do some giving on our behalf, may we suggest this worthy organization: ITMFA (or donating directly to ACLU, Planned Parenthood, International Refugee Assistance Project)
  12. I have more questions or need assistance for a unique situation: No problem – contact either/both of us. We’re happy to talk you through any logistical issues that may arise.
